Sarah Krepin appointed National Director of Philanthropy

We are pleased to announce that Sarah Kreplin will be joining our team as the National Director of Philanthropy on August 28th.

Sarah has been working in the field of philanthropy since 2007, most recently as Director of Planned and Major Giving for Mission Inclusion. She recently obtained her Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE).

Originally from New Brunswick, Sarah Kreplin has always been passionate about making a difference in her local and global community. She studied International Development at Saint-Francis Xavier University (STFX) and during that time participated in a service learning, tapestry course, in partnership with L’Arche Antigonish. Through this positive experience, she learned firsthand how art can build bridges, and she was inspired to work towards building a more inclusive society.

After completing her studies, Sarah moved to Montreal, where she started her career in philanthropy. From 2009 to 2017, she was the Senior Manager of the eastern region of Public Outreach, followed by a role as the Philanthropic Development Advisor for the Center for International Studies and Cooperation (CECI) from 2018 to 2021 and until most recently the Director of Planned and Major Giving for Mission Inclusion.

Sarah recently obtained her Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE), a credential recognized worldwide that signifies not only her expertise in philanthropy but also her commitment to the ethics of the profession.

She is a collaborative leader in the workplace and uses her positive attitude and tireless energy to encourage others to succeed.

In her free time, Sarah likes to venture out into nature, hiking with her charming golden retriever George, play the ukulele, enjoy a good book and spend time with friends and family. She is passionate about social justice, her faith and leadership.

“As I step into the role of Director of Philanthropy, I am filled with excitement and anticipation. This role immediately appealed to me as it allows me to merge my passion for inclusivity and my expertise in fundraising leadership to make a meaningful impact.

During my undergraduate degree, I took part in a service-learning course in partnership with L’Arche Antigonish. Through this experience I got to witness firsthand how the organization creates community, friendship and transforms lives, including my own! It is an honour to get to now work directly for L’Arche Canada and participate in the transformative work you do.

I look forward to working alongside your dedicated team and engaging with generous donors who share our vision of creating a more inclusive society.”
