Established in 1974, L’Arche Greater Vancouver is a community of approximately 90 people. Eighteen people with intellectual disabilities live with those who assist them in four homes. They also have two community inclusion programs: The Emmaus Center which provides meaningful daytime activities for 15 people and the Neighbours Helping Neighbours crew serves the elderly and people with physical disabilities by doing yard work and other outdoor chores.

L’Arche Greater Vancouver is an intentional community that cares for some of society’s most vulnerable citizens. In a city where many people feel isolated and alone, they provide a place of belonging.
