We are pleased to announce that Darrell Marsh will be joining the Philanthropy team as the regional director of philanthropy for Ontario. He will take up his new role in June 2024.
Darrell comes into this role from the community of L’Arche Sudbury, where he has most recently been the Capital Project coordinator for the community’s affordable housing project, L’Arche Sudbury Place. He proudly hails from Reserve Mines, Cape Breton. And it was in Cape Breton that Darrell first encountered L’Arche. He studied at Mount Allison University in Sackville and later at St. Peter’s Seminary in London. Professionally, he has worked with veterans and their families at the Last Post Fund and provided service as a federal and provincial constituency assistant. His life experience has taught him that there are many kind people in the world.
I’m eager to start my new role. L’Arche is a learning culture and I look forward to continued learning. I’m excited to use my gifts and skills of collaborating and connecting to further the mission. I also look forward to getting to know people and the many communities, sharing a cup of tea and a good laugh. And finally, I’m very excited to work towards reaching our fundraising goal and know that there is an abundance of kindness and generosity that we will encounter. On a personal note, I want to share that I’m a dog lover and happy fur daddy to Sadie, Henry, Walter, and Charlie.
