Affectionately referred to as Shalom Community, L'Arche Edmonton was established in 1972 and is a not-for-profit association.
We have five homes and a Day Program and currently have 21 people with disabilities in our community, 15 wonderful live in assistants, and 25 dedicated people who work in but live out. We celebrate the many different people in our community; from different cultures, with various abilities, of all ages, and spectacular talents.
Edmonton is a beautiful city. It has a wonderful river valley with extensive walking trails; we are world renowned for our summer festivals and within a few hours drive of the beautiful Rocky Mountains.
